It sometimes happens that customers with a Belgian .be domain name indicate that their domain name doesn't work. If our admin doesn't indicate that there's something wrong with the domain name (incorrect DNS settings, for example), you should look up the domain name via dns.be (similar to SIDN in the Netherlands).
If you search for the domain name via this website, you'll see a notification that the domain name is no longer available. That's right because this domain name is registered at JouwWeb. Click on Show details ("toon gegevens" in Dutch). It's important to check the verification status ("verificatiestatus" in Dutch). If it's pending ("in behandeling" in Dutch), that's the reason why the domain name is currently not working. You can find more information about this on the DNS Belgium website.
DNS Belgium can ask a customer to verify his/her identity. If the customer doesn't do this, the consequence is that the domain name doesn't work (anymore). Our customer must contact DNS Belgium and verify his/her identity. The e-mail address at which the customer can reach DNS Belgium can be found under Nameservers at the DNS Belgium website.
If the customer does so, the domain name will automatically be activated again (and link to the JouwWeb website).
Does DNS Belgium say the verification status is OK and the domain name is still not working? Forward the ticket to the domain team to ask what's wrong.
