Can I pause my website / subscription?

While we understand this would be beneficial in some cases, it is not possible to pause an active subscription, unfortunately.

This is because a running subscription includes ongoing services that continue to incur costs on a daily basis, such as:

  • Website hosting
  • Domain registration and maintenance
  • Email services connected to your domain

Since Webador provides an all-in-one solution, individual services cannot be separated from the subscription. For example, it is not possible to keep only your domain name or email service active while pausing the rest of the subscription.

We understand that a temporary pause could be helpful in some situations, and we appreciate your understanding. Therefore, we recommend some alternatives here:

Alternative options

1. Put your website in offline mode
If you still have time remaining on your annual or monthly subscription, you can temporarily take your website offline.

To do this go to: Editor > Settings > General > Offline mode

Your website will no longer be publicly visible, but all content and settings will remain safely stored in your account. You can reactivate your website at any time.

2. Password protect your website
You can also restrict access to your website by enabling password protection.

If you password-protect your homepage and include all subpages, your entire website will only be accessible to visitors who have the password.

This option allows you to keep your website online while limiting public access.

3. Downgrade to a lower plan
If you are looking to reduce costs while keeping your website and domain active, our support team may be able to help you switch to a lower subscription plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my running subscription for a different project?

Yes. You can continue using your subscription for a new website or project. Your website can always be redesigned through the Editor without purchasing a new subscription.

What if I need help with payments due to temporary financial difficulties?

If you are experiencing temporary financial difficulties, please contact our support team - We're happy to discuss individual options together with you. Depending on your situation, we may be able to offer a later payment date or a payment plan.

Please note: These options are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may not be available in all situations.

Will my website be deleted if I enable offline mode?

No. Your website and all content will remain safely stored in your account. The website will simply not be visible to visitors until offline mode is disabled.

Can I still edit my website while it is offline?

Yes. You can continue making changes to your website in the Editor at any time while offline mode is enabled.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

After cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Once the subscription expires, paid features (like your domains, email addresses or other premium functions) connected to your plan may no longer be available. No worries though, your website content itself will remain available on our free plan.
