Why aren’t my shipping methods showing correctly?

With Webador, you can choose between basic and advanced shipping methods. If you're setting up a shipping method based on weight, it's important to make sure your product weights match the weight ranges you’ve set for shipping. Otherwise, customers may not see a shipping option when checking out.

Note: Sorry, we cannot ship this order to the specified country: If you set up a minimum/maximum weight for a shipping method, but do not specify a weight for the products themselves, an error message for orders will be displayed indicating that shipping to the specified country is not possible.

What could be causing the issue?

  1. No weight set for a product

    • For example, you create a shipping method for packages weighing 100 grams to 2000 grams.
    • However, if a product has no weight assigned, the system won’t know which shipping method to apply, and no options will be displayed at checkout.
  2. Product weight falls outside the set shipping range

    • Let’s say you have a shipping method for orders between 100 g and 2000 g.
    • The weight of a product is accidentally set to 3000 g.
    • Since this weight doesn’t match any of your shipping methods, no options will be available for that product.

How to check if this is the issue?

  • In the Editor, go to Webshop > Products and check if all products have a weight assigned.
  • In the advanced shipping settings, make sure the weight ranges match the products you sell.
  • Place a test order by adding products to your cart to see if the correct shipping options appear.

How to fix it?

  • Ensure that each product has a weight assigned.
  • Check that product weights fall within the ranges set for your shipping methods.
  • Adjust weights or shipping settings if necessary to make sure everything aligns.

Following these steps will help ensure your customers always see the correct shipping options at checkout!

Extra tip: Consider multiple quantities!

Customers can order multiple units of the same product—great for sales, but important to factor into your shipping setup! The system calculates total weight based on the number of items in an order.

What could go wrong?

Let’s say you have a shipping method for orders between 100 g and 2000 g, and you sell a product weighing 500 g.

  • If a customer orders 4 units, the total weight is 2000 g—this fits within your shipping range.
  • But if they order 5 units, the total weight becomes 2500 g, which exceeds the shipping limit, making the method unavailable.

How to prevent this?

  • Check if the combined weight of multiple items still fits within your shipping ranges.
  • Consider adding an extra shipping method for heavier orders, so customers always have a shipping option.

By setting up your shipping methods correctly, you’ll avoid checkout issues and make ordering as smooth as possible!
