Your online store is ready and you have already added some products. But before you go online, you want to test whether everything works as it should. For this purpose, you can place a test order. In this article, we explain how you can do this.
Step 1
Go via the Editor to the Store. Then select Payment methods.
Step 2
Under Other payment methods > select Payment via invoice.
Step 3
Now navigate to your own live online store and go through the normal steps like a customer.
Add a product to your shopping cart and enter your details. Under payment method, only the option Payment via invoice will be shown. In the last step, click Buy Now. This way, your first order has been placed. You will receive an order confirmation to the email address you provided. The email will explain how to pay using the payment instructions by invoice.
⚠ Note: Since this is a test order, you obviously do not need to transfer the amount to your own account.
Step 4
After the order, you can leave your order in the status Pending. You can also delete the order manually in your order overview so that it is not included in your data via: Editor > Store > Orders.
Placing a test order via PayPal/Stripe/Mollie
If you want the test order to go through one of our automatic payment integrations, deactivate the Payment via invoice option and set up the payment methods via PayPal/Stripe/Mollie. You activate this via the automatic payment methods.
⚠ Note: The payment tools may charge transaction fees! You transfer the payment to your own account, but you pay a transaction fee for it.
