Now you've finished with the basic setup of your website, it's time to start adding products and setting up payment methods and shipping options.

Add products

You can add your inventory via Store > Products, and then use the product element and/or product gallery element to list products on your website.

We recommend using the product element for individual products, so it's the best option if you have a very small product range. To display 4 or more products on a page, the product gallery element allows you to easily list these so that they display uniformly on both desktop computers and mobile devices.

Tip: Make your online store easier for customers to navigate by setting up product categories.

Tip: If you use the product gallery element, you can enable product filters.

There are a number of fields, options, and settings when listing products:

  • Product name: Give each product a clear and descriptive name that isn't too long.
  • Description: Enter a (short) product description providing more information about the product.
  • Product type: With Webador Business, you can list different types of product, such as digital products.
  • Image: Upload one or more high-quality product images.
  • Shipping: With basic shipping methods set up, you can assign a shipping rate per product. Advanced shipping methods instead provide customers with options, so there's no assigned rate per product.
  • Tax rate: If applicable, assign a sales tax or VAT rate to the product.
  • Price: Enter the product price.
  • Discount price: If the product is on sale, enter the discounted price. The original price will be displayed crossed out alongside the discount price.
  • Inventory: Optionally enter an inventory total, or check the Unlimited box if applicable. Stock is automatically updated after an order is placed.
  • Pre-order: If a product is temporarily out of stock or sold out, you can give customers the option to order the item in advance, to be fulfilled when stock is replenished.
  • Product variants: Add product variants if applicable, such as different colors or sizes. You can also use product variants to offer volume discounts.
  • Product personalization: Offer customers the option to have products customized, for example engraving. This feature can also be used for other purposes, e.g. creating forms within a product.
Item numbers: You can assign item numbers to products. These are automatically displayed on the product detail page, on invoices, and in order confirmations.

If you've opted to use the product galley element, the Add to cart button will be visible when customers hover over the product:

When the last of an item has been added to a customer's cart, the Add to cart button will switch to "Sold out" (or "Notify me" if you're using the pre-order functionality). The customer will also see a notification informing them that they have the last item in their cart, to avoid confusion.

Set up payment methods
When you've finished adding products to your store, you can set up automatic and/or manual payment methods to give your customers a variety of payment options.

Automatic payment methods

We offer integrations with Stripe and PayPal. With Stripe, you can accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as alternative payment methods such as iDeal or Bancontact. You can also set up Klarna.

Our PayPal integration allows you to accept payments from customers using PayPal, who can then pay directly from their PayPal account.

Manual payment methods

It's also possible to set up manual payment methods, so customers can place an order in your store and make payment afterwards.

When setting up manual payment methods, be sure to enter your bank account details in the text field provided on the Payment methods page. This information is automatically sent to customers in the order confirmation email.

  • Bank transfer: Customers manually transfer payment from their bank account to yours.
  • Pay via invoice: Customers manually transfer payment from their bank account to yours upon invoice.
  • Pay on delivery: Customers pay on delivery, for example with cash.

Set up shipping methods

Now it's time to set up shipping methods. To do this go to Store > Shipping, and click on the + Add shipping method button. You can choose whether to set up basic shipping methods or advanced shipping methods.

Basic shipping methods

With basic shipping methods, you can assign a shipping option to each product individually. This means your customers can't choose from different options. For orders with multiple items, the most expensive shipping method will be used.

Advanced shipping methods

To give your customers more than one shipping option to choose from, you can set up advanced shipping methods. Shipping costs are based on the destination country or weight.
