How do I show (external) reviews on my website?

Want to showcase reviews from platforms like Google, Facebook, or TripAdvisor? Displaying real feedback on your website helps build trust and shows visitors they’re in good hands! While Webador doesn't currently offer a built-in feature for syncing external review platforms, you can easily embed reviews using third-party widgets.

Displaying reviews from verified sources like Trustpilot or Google helps build trust with your visitors, because these platforms confirm that the feedback comes from real customers. Verified reviews also show important details such as dates and profiles, which adds credibility and helps potential customers feel confident about your business.

Copying feedback from an email or message, however, doesn’t provide any proof of authenticity, so visitors may be more skeptical. For this reason, we recommend using trusted, verifiable review sources whenever possible.

Use a review widget

A popular option is Elfsight, which offers ready-made review widgets for many platforms. With services like this, you can customize the style, choose which reviews to show, and then get an embed code to place on your site.

Start by creating your widget using Elfsight's widget editor. Once you have your embed code, you can embed the widget on your website using the Embed Code element:

Step 1

Drag and drop the Embed Code element onto the relevant page on your website.

Step 2

Click on the element, then click on the blue Edit embed button.

Step 3

Copy and paste the code you copied from Elfsight into the Edit HTML text box, and click on Save.

Note: Custom HTML can’t be previewed in the Editor. To make sure your code is working correctly, go to your live website or, if you haven’t published yet, use the preview tool.

Display Google reviews manually

If you'd prefer not to use a third-party widget, you can also add Google reviews to your website using the Slideshow element.

Step 1

Go to your Google profile and select a number of positive (and ideally detailed) reviews.

Step 2

Take screenshots of these reviews, ensuring the Google layout is visible, including the reviewer’s name, profile icon, star rating.

Step 3

Go to the Webador Editor and drag and drop the Slideshow element onto the relevant page on your website.

Step 4

Within the element, click on the blue Select photos button, and upload the screenshots you took in step 2.

Optional: In the settings of the Slideshow element (the gear icon), you can enable the “Autoplay” feature and adjust any other settings as desired.

Display Trustpilot reviews manually

It's also possible to generate images showcasing your Trustpilot reviews and display these on your website.

Step 1

In your Trustpilot dashboard, go to Share & promote > Social > Image Generator.

Step 2

Choose the review type at the top of the page, and in the second drop-down menu select Review quote.

Note: Service reviews on Trustpilot relate to an individual's experience with a specific business, while product reviews focus on feedback regarding a specific product the customer purchased.

Step 3

Click on the blue Choose review button in the top-right corner of the preview image, and select a review you want to display on your website.

Step 4

Customize the image to your preference using the Background and Style options on the right.

Step 7

Within the element, click on the blue Select photos button, and upload the images you downloaded in step 5.

Optional: In the settings of the Slideshow element (the gear icon), you can enable the “Autoplay” feature and adjust any other settings as desired.
