Two-factor authentication

Tip: This feature is optional and therefore does not need to be set if you do not want it.

Two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA, is a feature for making your account more secure. This is because you add an extra authentication step after the normal login with your username and password.
By setting up this authentication, you reduce the chances of your account being hacked, for example. This is because it is now more difficult to log into your account because you always have to verify that it is you.

How do you set this up on JouwWeb?

Step 1:

You will, after logging in, go to your ‘My Account’, which will take you directly to your details.

Step 2:

You click to enable two-factor authentication, and follow the steps in the next screen.

Each time you log in, you enter a 6-digit code that you receive in the Authenticator app.

⚠ Note: You do need an Authenticator app on your phone to set this up.
