Which cookies are placed on my website?

You don’t need to worry about the cookies on your website. A cookie notice with a consent feature is not required for the cookies placed on your website by Webador, as these are strictly technical cookies that are necessary for the website to function.

Why might I need a cookie banner?

Third-party content and services, such as Instagram, YouTube, Google Maps, or tracking tools, may place additional cookies that collect visitor information. Depending on the privacy laws that apply to you, you may need to tell visitors about these cookies and get their permission before the cookies are placed.

If you use third-party services, be sure to list them in your privacy policy. Cookie requirements vary by country and region, so check the rules that apply to your website.

If you add this type of content, you may need to:

  1. Tell visitors about these cookies.
  2. List the third-party services in your privacy policy.
  3. Add a cookie banner that lets visitors accept or reject the cookies.

Which cookie banner should I use?

  • Webador's built-in cookie notice: Use this option if you only need a simple notice that visitors must accept. To turn it on, go to Settings > General and enable Cookie notice. Learn more about updating your website settings.
  • An advanced cookie banner: Use an advanced banner if visitors need to accept or reject nonessential cookies, choose cookie categories, or prevent cookies from being placed before they give permission. You can get this type of banner from a third-party provider, such as CCM19.
Tip: If your cookie banner provider gives you HTML code, go to Settings > Advanced > Add custom HTML code to add it to your website. See how to add custom HTML code for step-by-step instructions.

Cookies placed on your website
  1. Google Analytics: We’ve set up Google Analytics to hide visitors’ IP addresses. We also don’t allow Google to use the data for other services. This means the data can’t be used to identify individual visitors.
  2. Functional cookie: We place a functional cookie to confirm that you’re the website owner. This cookie doesn’t affect your customers’ privacy.
Cookies created by Webador

Webador creates the following three cookies:

  1. JWSESSION: This cookie is active only during your browser session. It’s deleted when you close your browser. We use it only to help your website work properly.
  2. JwStickySession: This cookie saves products that a visitor adds to their wishlist. We don’t use this information. You can turn off this feature in the advanced online store settings. The cookie will still be created, but it won’t be used.
  3. JwUnsafe: This cookie confirms that you’re the website owner. It can’t be misused and doesn’t affect your visitors’ privacy.
Log files

Our system also creates log files. These files record what the system does and may include your visitors’ IP addresses. Only our team uses this information to fix problems and check how the system is working. We automatically delete the log files and IP addresses after 30 days.
