How can I accept pre-orders in my online store?

You can offer your customers the option to pre-order your products, for example when an item is out of stock or (temporarily) sold out.

Step 1

Add the product using the Product element or Product gallery element. In the Product name field, indicate that this is a pre-order item (e.g. "Pre-order: limited edition shampoo").

Step 2

Mark the product inventory as unlimited.

Step 3

Go to the Advanced tab and enable the Product label option. Add the label "Pre-order".

Your customers will now be able to see that this item is available for pre-order. It's important to keep customers up to date regarding when the product will be available again, and when it will be shipped. Once the item is back in stock, you can process the order.
