Domain name costs are incurred at registration, which means existing domain names can't be changed free of charge. However, if you want to use another domain name, you can register an extra one.
Once your new domain name is online and in use, we can remove the old domain for you. If you do this within a year, you'll only have to pay the registration fee once, rather than annually. Please see the FAQ on our pricing page for more information about the costs for registering an extra domain name.
An advantage of this option is that any visitors using your old domain name will be automatically redirected to the new one. So you won't lose any traffic, and your visitors will have time to get used to your new domain.
If you'd like to register an extra domain name, please follow the steps in this article: Register a domain name. Once you've registered the domain, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request removal of the old one.
