Alternative options for larger file sizes:

If your file is larger than 42 MB, you can use one of the following solutions:

1. Compress the audio file
You can reduce the file size by:

  • Lowering the bitrate (e.g. from 320 kbps to 128 kbps)
  • Converting the file to a more efficient format like .mp3

This is usually the easiest solution and keeps everything on your website. You can find tools to compress audio files online.

2. Trim the audio
Shorten the file so it fits under the 42 MB limit.

3. Split the audio into multiple parts
Divide the file into smaller sections (each under 42 MB):

  • Use an audio editing tool (e.g. Audacity)
  • Cut the audio into multiple parts
  • Export each part as a separate file
  • Upload each file using a separate Audio element (you can use this element multiples times on one page)

Visitors can then play each part separately on your website.

4. Use an external platform
Upload the audio to another platform (e.g. SoundCloud) and add it via:

This is ideal for large or high-quality audio files.
