Once you've registered a domain name and created a mailbox, you can set up your email in your preferred client.

This article explains how to set up your mailbox in Gmail. Do you want to set up the mailbox on your phone or tablet? Check out the instructions for Gmail App on iOS and Gmail App on Android.

Or find out how to set up your mailbox in other email clients.

Note: Gmail syncs every 15 minutes, so new emails won't always come in immediately.

Step 1

Go to Gmail.com.

Step 2

Click on the gear icon, then click on See all settings.

Step 3

Go to the Accounts tab and, next to Check email from other accounts, click on Add an email account.

Step 4

In the Email address field, enter the email address of your mailbox and click on Next.

Step 5

While some of the mail settings data will already be filled out, you may have to adjust the following:

  • Username: The full email address (e.g. info@yourdomain.com)
  • Password: The password you created for your mailbox (not the password you use to log into Webador). If you've forgotten your mailbox password, you can always reset it
  • POP server: mail.webador.com (not your domain name!)
  • Port: 995
  • Make sure the Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail option is checked

Optionally, you can check the Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server option. Your emails will remain available on the server, for example so you can open them via webmail. However, this will use more storage space.

Note: Make sure there are no spaces before the POP server address. Gmail does not automatically remove spaces and will therefore be unable to access the server.

Step 6

If you want to also be able to send emails via your mailbox, check Yes and click on Next.

Step 7

Enter your name and click on Next step.

Step 8

While some of the mail settings data will already be filled out again, you may have to adjust the following:

  • SMTP server: mail.webador.com (not your domain name!)
  • Username: The full email address (e.g. info@yourdomain.com)
  • Password: The password you created for your mailbox (not the password you use to log into Webador). If you've forgotten your password, you can always reset it
  • Check Secure connection using TLS

Once you've finished entering the above, click on Add account.

Step 9

An email containing a link and a code will be sent to your email address. Go to webmail.webador.com and log in.

Click on the link or copy and paste the code into the corresponding box and click on Verify.

You can now send and receive emails using Gmail!
